Have you been living under a rock the last year? If so, you should know The Pointe Brodie Creek has a resident app! From submitting service requests to reserving one of our amenities, you can do all kinds of things in our app with just a few taps of your finger.

Today, we will explain step-by-step how to use the app to reserve an amenity in our clubhouse like the Movie Theater, Conference Room, Banquet Room, or Poker Lounge!

Step #1: Get the App

Before we go any further, you need to make sure you download our app! Just search for “Active Building" in the App Store or Google Play Store and you will find it.

Once you download it and enter your information, it will confirm your resident account here in our apartment community and allow you to open the app.

Important Note: The ActiveBuilding app is for residents only. If you’re not a resident, or if you’re a new resident that has yet to move in, you will be unable to gain access.

Step #2: Tap the Right Tab

As soon as you open the ActiveBuilding app, you should notice three lines on the upper lefthand corner of your screen. Tap on it to open the app's menu, then scroll down to find the Events tab.

Tap there to see the amenities available to reserve!

Step #3: Select an Amenity

On the Amenities screen, you will see there are six reservable amenities: 

  • Conference Room
  • Movie Theater
  • Banquet Room
  • Poker Lounge
  • Tanning Bed 1 & 2

For each amenity, you will see a Weekday, Saturday, and Sunday option. (For example, Weekday Conference Room, Saturday Conference Room, and Sunday Conference Room.) This is because we our amenities are open at different times, depending on the day of the week.

Make sure you find the correct amenity and the correct day for the date you wish to make a reservation! Then, tap on Reserve This Amenity under the amenity you want to reserve.

PS: You can also reserve fun games any day of the week! Look out for games like Baggo and Giant Jenga that you can reserve to play ahead of time and pick up from the concierge on duty.

Step #4: Review the Rules

When you select an amenity option, you will see a form to fill out and a list of rules for that space.

Please take a moment and review the rules for the room you are about to reserve. Each amenity has certain rules and restrictions that every resident needs to know and share with their guests!

Important Note: If you would like to reserve the Banquet Room, there are fees associated. For more information, pay attention to the details listed and double-check your Resident Handbook. After you submit your reservation request, we will ask you to pre-pay these fees and complete a confirmation form by visiting the staff in our front office before we can approve your reservation.

Step #5: Reserve the Amenity

Now that you know the rules, you can fill out the reservation form. 

You will need to provide your name, reservation date, check-in time, and reservation duration before tapping Continue. Then, you will prompted to answer some questions so we can get more details about your reservation.

When you're done, hit Submit

Now, once you go back to Amenities and select History from the top of your screen, you will see your reservation listed!

Pro Tip: If you get served an error for the date and time you select, that means that amenity is not available for that date or time, or you violated one of the stipulations provided in the rules.
