Emergency Maintenance: 5 Issues That Require Immediate Service
02.22.2021 |
Five-star service is the name of the game here at The Pointe Brodie Creek. That includes 24-hour emergency maintenance, should you ever need it.
Not sure what qualifies as an emergency maintenance request? You have come to the right place.
Here, we have compiled a list of all the issues that our amazing apartment maintenance team can address any day of the week.
#1: Air Conditioning Issues
Heating and cooling are essential functions in your luxury apartment home. However, only certain “extreme” temperatures prompt the need for emergency servicing in the event your air conditioner starts malfunctioning.
If your heat stops working during wintertime when outside temperatures fall below 60°, that is considered an emergency.
If your A/C stops working during summertime when outside temperatures rise above 80°, that is also considered an emergency.
#2: Plumbing Issues
Plumbing problems have the potential to do a lot of damage. So, we consider several water-related issues to be emergencies here at The Pointe Brodie Creek.
Leaks
See a sudden leak spouting in your apartment? Let us know if you ever see a leak coming from your sink, tub, shower, dishwasher, or washing machine.
Water
Has water completely stopped flowing out of your faucet? Have you lost the ability to produce hot water?
Both conditions are considered emergencies.
Stoppage
Stopped up sinks and toilets indicate an issue that requires emergency maintenance.
However, commode stoppage is only considered an emergency if you live in an apartment with just one bathroom.
Did you know? Water and sewer are utilities covered in our convenient utility package. You will never see a water bill for your luxury apartment here at The Pointe Brodie Creek!
#3: Electrical Issues
Every home here at The Pointe Brodie Creek is an energy-efficient apartment that runs entirely on electricity. Therefore, if you lose power, that is considered an emergency.
However, please refrain from requesting emergency maintenance if you lose power during an area outage. Power outages during severe storms are common here in Arkansas, so it’s likely Entergy will already be addressing the issue and there is nothing our team can do.
Electricity is the only utility not included in our utility package, which means you pay for your service directly through Entergy.
We highly recommend you sign up for text alerts when you register your account. That way, if an area outage occurs, Entergy will contact you directly with more information.
Fun Fact: Did you lose power in just one area of your apartment? Is just one of your outlets not working? It’s likely a breaker has been tripped or you just need to reset your outlet. Tap here to learn how easy it is to fix these kinds of issues on your own.
#4: Exterior Issues
If any of the exterior doors, locks, or windows in your apartment become broken or inoperable, it requires emergency maintenance attention.
Lockouts, however, are not issues that our emergency maintenance team can handle. If you lose your keys or get locked out of your apartment late at night, please contact the courtesy officer instead.
#5: Abnormal Issues
If you notice anything out of the ordinary that could cause a fire, flood, or other accident, please call our office immediately.
This includes smelling gas odors or finding fire hazards that could threaten the safety of the community.
How to Request Emergency Maintenance
Our maintenance staff is available to address emergencies Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Just contact our office and we will send a maintenance technician to your apartment as soon as possible.
