Online Holiday Shopping: 6 Tips for Successful Deliveries
11.08.2021 |

The holiday season is quickly approaching! That means we are coming up on the craziest time of year for online shopping and package deliveries. Are you prepared?
If you’ve never had a package delivered here before, or if you’ve experienced issues with package deliveries in the past, we want to help set you up for success this go-around.
Here are some tips you should take before purchasing your next online order!
#1: Shop Smart
For on-time deliveries, you must shop smart from the get-go.
Sure, finding the best holiday deals is important if you’re shopping on a budget, but you cannot afford to wait until the last minute to pick out presents.
Even if you pay extra for overnight shipping or Amazon Prime, these delivery methods can and will be unreliable come holiday season.
All carriers are experiencing staff shortages and supply chain delays right now, so we can only imagine how the holidays will impact deliveries.
So, plan ahead, shop early, and get your gifts delivered before it’s too late!
#2: Complete Your Address
You know The Pointe Brodie Creek is located at 3400 South Bowman Road, Little Rock, Arkansas, 72211. Mail carriers know that, too.
What they don’t know is your apartment number. So, don’t leave that detail off your order!
Whether your package gets delivered to your door or to our Package Concierge locker system, the carrier needs your complete address. They cannot deliver your package correctly without the apartment number listed on it!
#3: Add Delivery Details
While filling out your shipping details, some online merchants allow you to add extra delivery instructions. If that’s offered, you might as well take advantage of it to assist the delivery driver in getting you your package.
If you’re ordering something small that will fit in one of our Package Concierge lockers, try adding a note to leave the package in the lockers in the clubhouse. Just remember, perishable packages cannot be delivered to the lockers. They must go to your door!
If your package is too large to fit in one of our Package Concierge lockers, you can detail your building number and floor level in addition to your apartment number to help them find your door.
Please Note: We cannot accept packages on your behalf in the office, so do not request your packages get delivered to us!
#4: Check the Status
Once your package is shipped, you should receive a tracking number that allows you to check your delivery status. Use it!
This is how you can get delivery date estimates from the carrier and view updates on when and where your package is delivered.
Check your status carefully and contact the carrier if you have any questions. We do not have access to this information, so it’s up to you to keep up with your packages.
#5: Find Your Package
When you move into your apartment here at The Pointe Brodie Creek, you should receive an email notification to set up your Package Concierge account. This is how you elect to receive package notifications and create your unique pin to access packages left in the lockers for you.
If you are expecting a delivery and do not receive a notification from Package Concierge, that means your package was delivered elsewhere.
Check your front door first. Not there? Head to the mail house! Small packages are sometimes left in a parcel locker there, and the key to it will be left inside your mailbox.
#6: Ask for Help
Having trouble with the Package Concierge system? Cannot find your package? This is when you need to ask for some help.
You are welcome to ask a member of our staff for assistance with our package lockers. However, if your package is not there, you will need to contact the carrier directly for help locating your order.
Keep in mind that seasonal delivery drivers will be employed by most carriers to help with the drastic increase in deliveries. These drivers will not know their routes and their destinations as well as the regulars do, which means they may be overwhelmed and misdeliver packages.
We’ve seen drivers leave packages in front of stairwells, outside the front door to our clubhouse, or even in front of the lockers if they are in a rush or don’t feel like figuring out how to deliver packages properly.
It’s frustrating for us and for you, but there’s nothing we can do to control it. We just ask for your patience!
Package mishaps happen during the holidays, which is why we are offering these tips well ahead of the holiday rush. If you take our advice, it will help your packages come on time and get delivered successfully.
