11.15.2019 | Blog

It’s not always easy to visualize what could be when you enter an empty apartment. Have you scheduled a tour here yet? That’s where our leasing consultants can try to help you picture what it’s really like to live in our luxury apartment community. We want to show you how to come up with creative ways to furnish the space and make it your own!
Often, the furnished apartment photos or floor plan drawings you can see here on our website just won’t fit your style. That’s okay! Our open floor plans afford you an unlimited amount of options you are free to explore on your own.
Whether you already have tons of furniture, or plan to start from scratch with new purchases, we have tons of ideas that can inspire you to make your luxury apartment your unique home.
Now, let’s see if you can picture this…
Dining Room
Have you seen our gorgeous granite kitchen islands? They’re huge! You can comfortably fit four counter-height chairs there. So, for some, there really isn’t a need for additional dining space.
But, every luxury apartment at The Pointe Brodie Creek comes with a dining room. So, what can you do? Get creative!
#1: Build a Bar
Do you enjoy entertaining? Transform your dining space into a bar!
Forget a dining table and chairs. You can furnish your “dining” space with a nice liquor cabinet, tall bar, and a bar stools. Add some floating shelves decorated with bar glasses and voila, you have yourself a beautiful area for bartending.
#2: Operate Your Office
You know what else would look nice in your dining nook? A desk!
The dining room that comes in all our floor plans could fit a small desk, large L-shaped desk, or even some tall bookshelves. You can use the space to work from home or do some studying in style.
#3: Gear Up for Gaming
Sometimes, you want to just live in your living room. But, if your living room needs to accommodate a TV, gaming system, streaming device, cable box, record player, speakers, movies, music, games, furniture, and more, it can get crowded.
Instead of overcrowding your open living space, use your dining room as a gaming zone! You can put a reclining chair there, mount your TV, and sync up your gaming system.
Or, put a poker table there, maybe even a dart board! You can play billiards, board games, and more all in one space.
#4: Prepare a Pet Palace
The Pointe Brodie Creek is a very pet-friendly apartment community, so it’s no surprise that a lot of our residents are pet parents. Your pets need a place to play, too!
If you want to use your dining space more creatively, transform it into a palace for your pets. You can fit a cat tree, scratching post, dog beds, food bowls, an aquarium…the sky is the limit.
Living Room
Often in apartments, the living room area is designed in a way that leaves you very few options on how you can decorate the space. But that is not the case at The Pointe Brodie Creek.
As soon as you walk into one of our luxury apartments, you will see how open and opulent the living room is. The floor-to-ceiling columns, crown molding, and tray ceiling all work together to create an architectural marvel that should inspire you to get creative.
#5: Connect Your Cable
Thanks to our convenient utility packages, every apartment home at The Pointe Brodie Creek comes with two AT&T cable boxes (you can upgrade if you want more). You can put them in your bedrooms, but most residents will set up one cable box in their living room.
This, our friends, is where you can get creative. There is no designated spot for your cable and TV – you can put them wherever you want!
If you want to mount your TV, you have two walls to choose from. If you want to house all your devices in an entertainment center, you can put it against either wall or in front of the picture windows overlooking your patio or balcony.
Depending on where you decide to connect your cable, you have varying options when it comes to configuring your furniture.
#6: Configure Your Furniture
Furnishing your luxury apartment is going to be so much fun, now that you know there is no right or wrong way to do it. You have approximately 14×15 feet worth of space to work with!
Our living rooms are open to your design and your aesthetic, so you can have the furniture you want in your home.
Want a comfy sectional? It will fit! Prefer a pretty day bed? Go ahead and get it! Really into recliners? Bring them in! Get yourself a large area rug, some end tables, and a coffee table, and you’re all set.
Bedrooms
If you think our living rooms are big, wait until you see our bedrooms!
Here’s a breakdown of each floor plan, its bedroom size(s), and what you can fit in each one:
- Richland: one-bedroom, approx. 13×13, fits up to a king-sized bed
- Harmony: two-bedroom, approx. 13×13 and 13×11, both bedrooms fit up to a king-sized bed
- Kingston: two-bedroom, approx. 12×13 and 10×14, larger bedroom fits up to a king-sized bed, smaller bedroom fits a queen or full
- Bentley: three-bedroom; approx. 12×13, 10×14, 11×13; larger bedrooms fit up to a king-sized bed; smallest bedroom fits a queen or full
Now, let’s get creative!
#7: Move That Bed
In some cities, having a bed in front of the window is a big no-no for fire codes. But not in Little Rock. That means you don’t have to have your headboard against any designated wall here at The Pointe Brodie Creek.
Feel free to center your bed along any wall or put it in front of your pretty picture window. If you don’t have a headboard or bedframe, you can decorate with a dramatic set of curtains. It’s up to you!
#8: Move That Dresser
If you move your bed off a long wall, that could throw off the feng shui between the other furniture in your bedroom. So, move your dresser into your closet!
Every bedroom has an ensuite walk-in closet or a walk-in closet off the ensuite bathroom. All kinds of dressers could fit in these closets, which frees up space in your bedroom to get even more creative.
Without a bulky dresser in the way, you can furnish your bedroom with a full-sized mirror, vanity, chaise lounge, chair, armoire, screen, or even a desk.
#9: Think Beyond a Bedroom
Is one of your bedrooms going to be a spare room? If you don’t want to use that space as a guest room, you are free to explore more creative ways to furnish your apartment!
Here are just a few ideas:
- Home office
- Studio space
- Library
- Craft room
- Dressing room
- Storage room
- Exercise room
