In our Instagram story a few weeks ago, we asked our residents to tell us their favorite household items to have on hand in their apartment. Their responses were so brilliant and insightful that we decided to share some of our favorites.

Add these must haves to your next Amazon order if you’re ready to reach expert-level apartment living status!

#1: Shower Squeegee

One of the seven beautiful features you can find in our luxury bathrooms is a glass shower with a ceramic tile backsplash. It even has both a regular and rainfall showerhead!

We have a few tips on cleaning these surfaces, especially when you need to get gunk out of the grout or deep clean your showerhead. But for day-to-day upkeep, one resident recommended a handheld squeegee.

Amazon has a list of bestselling squeegees you can explore, and some are as affordable as $8. Find one you like and use it to remove water from the walls and floor of your shower after showering!

That, along with running your bathroom vent during and after your shower, should help cut down on any moisture and mildew build-up. 

#2: Cordless Vacuum

Speaking of cleaning, you will also have three different types of floors to keep tidy in your luxury apartment here at The Pointe Brodie Creek!

Between the hardwood laminate flooring in the kitchen and living room, ceramic tile in the bathrooms, and plush carpeting in the bedrooms, we don’t want you to feel overwhelmed by the idea of keeping your apartment clean.

That’s why we think it’s so smart that two different residents raved about the cordless vacuums they purchased that can transition seamlessly from surface-to-surface. Their recommendations were a Dyson or a Eufy!

#3: Air Freshener

After you do all that cleaning, don’t you want to keep your apartment smelling great? 

Another one of our residents said that using air fresheners, candles, or wax melts in their favorite scents really makes their apartment feel like home. 

The Spruce has a few recommendations, but you can certainly do you your own shopping to find a scent that works best for you. 

Plus, beyond keeping your apartment smelling fresh and clean, some nice candles would be the perfect accompaniment to a bubble bath in your large soaking tub. Enjoy!

#4: Coffee Maker

Last, but not least, we bet you could use some help staying energized to make it through your busy week. We know you work hard, and a good caffeine fix never hurts!

One solution would be to visit the coffee and tea bar in our Cyber Lounge. It’s open from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm Monday through Friday and 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday. 

But, if you would rather stay home, or if you need a second (or third) cup of coffee in the afternoon, getting a nice coffee maker for your kitchen is essential.

Our stunning kitchens offer plenty of counter space to set up a coffee station, plus several outlets can be found in your ceramic tile backsplash to power your coffee maker.

In our opinion, you can never go wrong with a good Keurig. But if an espresso drink is more your style, one resident said they can’t live without their Nespresso!
