How Do I Contact the Courtesy Officer?

The courtesy officer can be reached by calling our office at 501.221.3377, then following the prompt to leave a message for the officer on duty.

In your message, it’s important that you leave all the following information:

  • full name
  • apartment number
  • phone number
  • detailed explanation of what your issue is and where it is occurring

Once you leave a message, the courtesy officer will be alerted to review the message and respond to your call.

What Does the Courtesy Officer Do?

The courtesy officer can respond to several kinds of incidents, ranging from noise disturbances to parking violations. Essentially, their job is to assist residents and keep the community running smoothly whenever the front office is closed.

Noise Disturbances

Noisy neighbors, loud parties, or other kinds of disturbing sounds are not allowed in our community, especially during our quiet hours of 10:00 pm to 8:00 am nightly. We want you to be able to sleep soundly here in our community!

If you experience excess noise coming from a breezeway, parking lot, or another apartment, please leave a message for the courtesy officer so they can address the situation immediately.

Smoking Disturbances

The Pointe Brodie Creek is also a smoke-free community. Cigars, cigarettes, vapes, and other legal and illegal forms of smoking are not permitted in common areas or inside apartments at any time.

If your neighbor or their guest is disturbing you by smoking, the courtesy officer can be contacted to address the issue directly with that resident.

Lock Outs

We know accidents happen – keys are small and easy to misplace. In the event you are ever locked out of your apartment, you can contact the courtesy officer to be permitted entry.

Please note you must present a government-issued ID to verify you are a resident of the apartment. There will also be a $20 fee charged that must be paid within 48 hours.

Parking Violations

Our community parking policy is detailed in your Resident Handbook, which can be accessed anytime in your resident portal or on the resident app

In the handbook, you can learn what kinds of vehicles are not allowed and where you can park on the property. Any violations are subject to towing!

If you notice any of the following types of vehicles left on property, please contact the courtesy officer:

  • boats
  • trailers
  • jet skis
  • inoperable vehicles
  • abandoned vehicles

You can also contact the courtesy officer if you find an unauthorized vehicle inside or blocking a carport, garage, fire lane, or handicap space.

What Does the Courtesy Officer Not Do?

While most of our courtesy officers work by day as police officers, they cannot act in that capacity while off the job.

Courtesy officers are just that: a courtesy. They are not security officers. They are not responsible for guaranteeing the protection of your personal safety and personal property.

For that reason, it is crucial that you call 911 if you witness or experience any domestic disturbances, burglaries, fires, floods, or other crimes or emergencies.

After you call 911, you are also welcomed to leave a message with the courtesy officer so they can have a report of the incident and assist law enforcement as needed.

Does that answer all your questions? If you want you to know anything else about the courtesy officers, just contact our office by calling 501.221.3377.
